8,103 views 120 likes Updated Jun 12, 2026

Step 1: Log in to your cPanel account

Open your browser and navigate to your cPanel login URL (e.g. yourdomain.com/cpanel). Enter your username and password to log in.

Step 2: Locate the Softaculous App Installer

Scroll down to the 'Software' section in cPanel and click on the 'Softaculous Apps Installer' or click directly on the 'WordPress' icon if available.

Step 3: Start the Installation Process

Once in Softaculous, hover over the WordPress icon and click on 'Install'.

Step 4: Configure the Details

  • Choose Protocol: Select https:// (highly recommended for security).
  • Choose Domain: Select the domain you want to install WordPress on.
  • In Directory: Leave this blank to install WordPress in the root of your domain (yourdomain.com) or enter a folder name like blog if you want it under yourdomain.com/blog.
  • Site Name and Site Description: Enter your desired site title and tagline.
  • Admin Username and Password: Create a secure password. Make sure not to use 'admin' as the username.
  • Admin Email: Set a valid email address to receive system and recovery emails.

Step 5: Complete Installation

Review your settings, then click 'Install' at the bottom of the page. Within a few seconds, you'll see a success message with your website link and your WordPress admin login URL (yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
