Step 1: Log in to your cPanel account
Open your browser and navigate to your cPanel login URL (e.g. yourdomain.com/cpanel). Enter your username and password to log in.
Step 2: Locate the Softaculous App Installer
Scroll down to the 'Software' section in cPanel and click on the 'Softaculous Apps Installer' or click directly on the 'WordPress' icon if available.
Step 3: Start the Installation Process
Once in Softaculous, hover over the WordPress icon and click on 'Install'.
Step 4: Configure the Details
- Choose Protocol: Select
https://(highly recommended for security). - Choose Domain: Select the domain you want to install WordPress on.
- In Directory: Leave this blank to install WordPress in the root of your domain (yourdomain.com) or enter a folder name like
blogif you want it under yourdomain.com/blog. - Site Name and Site Description: Enter your desired site title and tagline.
- Admin Username and Password: Create a secure password. Make sure not to use 'admin' as the username.
- Admin Email: Set a valid email address to receive system and recovery emails.
Step 5: Complete Installation
Review your settings, then click 'Install' at the bottom of the page. Within a few seconds, you'll see a success message with your website link and your WordPress admin login URL (yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
